Sag Harbor Historic Farmhouse
Her windows have watched the times change as one of the first farmhouses in this old whaling village. We imbued her with a machine modernist touch, paying tribute to the shipbuilders of Sag Harbor's past, who constructed the original walls of this 1812 home.
We tidied up her kitchen and bathroom lines for a modern day family, and repurposed beams from her sturdy walls into a dining room table. The interiors respect the history of the space: the living brass finishes, hand painted tiles, cement counters and beamed ceilings celebrate the heritage of this home, seamlessly weaving the current owners vision and life style with the original texture and structure of this heritage homestead.
